North Asia Countries
North Asia is a large region in the north of the continent of Asia.
There are two different definitions:
- mostly the Asian part of Russia, including Siberia and the Russian Far East.
- sometimes also Mongolia, which is usually assigned to East Asia.
In the west, North Asia borders the European part of Russia. This border is formed by the Urals watershed. In the south, North Asia is bounded by the states of Central Asia and China and possibly by Mongolia. The northern border is formed by the Arctic Ocean, the eastern by the Pacific Ocean.
The Mongolia is a republic in North Asia. It is bordered by Russia in the north and China in the south. 2,791,272 people live here on an area of 1,565,500 square kilometers. With 1.9 residents per square kilometer, it is the most sparsely populated country in the world.
The capital of Mongolia is Ulaanbaatar, the head of state is Tsachiagiin Elbegdordsch and the head of government is Süchbaataryn Batbold. There are many water-rich rivers in the north of Mongolia, all of which flow to the Selenga. The most important tributaries are Ider, Orhon and Torlon.
The Mongolia is characterized by its many places untouched nature. It is very rough and there are still many species of animals that have already become extinct in other parts of the world. Unfortunately, socialism has destroyed or destroyed a lot of cultural treasures. So that not much can be found, but in the city of Khurijt there are still remains of the old Mongolian capital.
