Albania: Tirana
There are many contrasts in the Albanian capital – Tirana. Here you will find magnificent buildings, some from socialist times (compare history and politics ), as well as simple huts. Traditional donkey carriages trot along the streets alongside the latest luxury limousines. Business people sped into high-rise buildings, while poor families drag the market purchases into their mud huts.
In the capital of Albania, one can clearly see that the country is on the one hand on the upswing, on the other hand some are falling behind and parts of the country are sinking into poverty.
